What we Believe

We realize that many Christians, from many different churches, compose our student body. While we may never all come to a consensus on everything, we do believe that we should hold shared values on things that are considered fundamental and definitive for our faith and values.  Below is our shared statement, primarily composed of the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed from ancient times.  Please read through this thoroughly and let us know if you have any questions.  This statement guides are enrollment, hiring, academics, activities, and formative development as an independent religious school.

The School Board is the school's final authority on all interpretive matters of faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline.

Statement of faith

-We believe in one God, the Father almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.  And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the only-begotten, begotten of the Father before all ages. Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten not made, of one essence with the Father by whom all things were made; who for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became man. And He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered, and was buried. And the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead; whose Kingdom shall have no end.  And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life, Who proceeds from the Father; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets.

-We believe in one Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.

-We acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins.

-We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.

--We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God. It speaks with authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind.  It directs our understanding of righteousness in both ancient and modern applications, and encompasses every aspect of human existence both individually and socially.

--We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. "Biological sex" means the condition of being male or female as such; it is determined by a person's chromosomes and correlated anatomy; and it is identified and confirmed at birth.  Rejection and/or physical mutilation of one's biological sex is a rejection of the image of God. This belief also accounts for (1) dressing in conformance with one's biological sex; (2) using the restrooms, locker rooms, and changing facilities conforming to one's biological sex.

--We believe that the term "marriage" has only one intended meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in an exclusive union. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between those who are married as so defined, and has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in before or outside of the bounds of that marriage. We believe that any form of sexual immorality and sexual conduct outside of this definition (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, transgender activity, polyamory, pornography, etc.) is sinful and offensive to God. Additionally, we look to the Lord for healing, restoration, and alignment with his design in our entire being (mind, heart, will, emotions, etc.).
